WebQuests son actividades de aprendizaje realizadas con recursos, preseleccionados por el docente, que se encuentran en la Red de Internet. Los estudiantes acceden a estas fuentes, seleccionan y analizan la información que contienen con el objeto de mejorar su comprensión sobre temas de tareas solicitadas. Con ese objetivo en mente, en los grados inferiores, el maestro suministra sitios en los cuales se encuentra la información; en los superiores, entrega los sitios básicos y los estudiantes deben buscar otros similares o que los complementen.
